This was immediately impressive. We pasted in a 2,000-word meeting transcript and asked Notion AI to summarize it into action items. It produced a clean, accurate list in about 5 seconds. This alone saved us 15–20 minutes of manual work. For teams that run a lot of meetings, this feature is genuinely valuable.
Day 3–4: Q&A Over Our Workspace
We tested the ability to ask questions about our own Notion workspace content. We asked things like "What were the key decisions from last month's strategy meeting?" and "What tasks are assigned to the marketing team?" The answers were mostly accurate but sometimes missed context from older pages. It works best with well-organized, recent content.
Day 5–6: Writing Assistance
We used Notion AI to draft blog post outlines, improve existing paragraphs and generate first drafts. The quality was decent but noticeably below ChatGPT Plus. The writing felt more generic and required more editing. For quick internal documents it's fine, but for external content we'd use a dedicated writing tool.
Day 7: Database Automation
The auto-fill feature for Notion databases was a pleasant surprise. We set it up to automatically tag pages by topic and extract key information into database fields. Once configured, it saved significant time on repetitive data entry.

For heavy Notion users — especially those who use it for meeting notes and project management — yes, absolutely. The summarization and Q&A features alone save more than enough time to justify $10/month.
For light Notion users or non-Notion users, skip it. The AI writing quality doesn't match dedicated tools, and you'd be better served by ChatGPT Plus at $20/month for a far more powerful and versatile AI assistant.
